A personal project that started in 2001.
Around 2000 time I was just starting with web design and I was reading a lot of English and Russian online magazines on the topic (A List Apart, Digital Web and several other). I was also heavily inspired by linking sites likes Kaliber 10000, Design is Kinky, Newstoday, Computerlove etc and wanted to create something similar but dedicated and targeted at the Bulgarian web design community.
I started translating some articles about web standards, usability, general graphic design principles. I was also reviewed and linked interesting web sites featuring modern graphics design, flash etc. Gradually other functionalities were added to the site. There is a nice forum with discussions on various topics. There are sections with interviews with local and international web design celebrities, catalogue of interesting and useful websites etc etc.
Gradually Groove Manifesto became quite well known and respected in the local community.
There were even some offline events – one day seminars and workshops on the hot topics of usability, interaction design, front-end development.
Currently I have no time to maintain the site, but it is still a valuable resource with its hundreds of articles, news and forum discussion topics.
